Herbal Healing Goes Global At Cloverleaf Farm

Cloverleaf Farm, a cottage industry natural body care company based in Effingham, NH, has taken their products to the world market. They are now shipping to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Canada and several other countries. Cloverleaf Farm has been in business for over 10 years. “The timing was right for us” said Kathy Lambert, Clinical Herbalist and Herbal Educator. Kathy has been a medical herbalist for 15 years, and has written several articles for newspapers, magazines and online health websites. She is now in the process of working on her first book on herbal medicine. She along with her husband Michael Davidson own Cloverleaf Farm. “Over the years, we have had several inquires about shipping to England, and Canada, but never really took advantage of it.” said Michael. It can be risky shipping overseas, but with our new credit card processing company, it made it easier to detect fraudulent orders. This gave us the gateway to expand our market. In just one month, it accounts for a quarter of our sales, and we anticipate it to grow steadily. New Packaging

We have been redoing our whole look over the last 6 months. First in order was our website. After that was done, we move on to our new labels. With a new redesign of the labels our old packaging just didn't have the look we wanted anymore. The search began for new packaging. We wanted to use more glass than plastic. This was hard to do. Everyone sells plastic jars and containers. If we had to use plastic, we wanted them to be recyclable.
We wanted green bottle, but could not find all the sizes we needed. We decided to go with blue, black and white containers. Alas, we found what we were looking for at Container Packaging Supply. They were so helpful in helping us match up jars with the right lids.
Our first order of business was to get Autumn's Baby Products filled and ready for shipment. We needed the photos ready for our website.
With that done, we can now move on to getting our Herbal Eye Cream ready for it's debut to our product line.

Formulating Herbal Healing Products

Formulating herbal healing products is what we do here at Cloverleaf Farm. It's not all white lab coats and test tubes though. We have fun creating them. We research each herb to make sure that it is just the right one for the product. Research also goes into which oils would be best too.
While bottling up the Elderflower Rose Day Cream, I dropped extra hibiscus extract into one of the jars by accident. It turned it a gorgeous color. Suddenly, and idea came into my head. I finished packaging the Elderflower Rose Day Cream and set onto my next task.
Let the experiments begin!
I started adding drop by drop, more hibiscus extract to it. Little by little the color went from a pale pink to a deeper pink. The lightbulb went on. I was onto something. This was going to be a whole new product.
Hibiscus Lip Cream was discovered. It a beautifully rich lip cream that adds just a hint of pink to your lips, and will rehydrate them. Say goodbye to dry, chapped, or cracked lips. We are so excited about our discovery. Hisbiscus Lip Cream will be available for purchase next week.

The Early Show

We have been working so hard these last few weeks on all our new products. We originally planned on getting the Elderflower Rose Day Cream up and on the site for Sunday, for a Monday shipment.

It smells so good before the addition of the essential oils, we are considering selling it that way as well.
