Not All Natural Products Are Equal

Many companies, small and large, claim to use all natural ingredients in their products. It says all natural on the label, so therefore it is natural. Not so.
You think you are online ordering a natural product...think again.
Companies who use lanolin, don't tell you that even though lanolin is a natural substance from sheep wool, those sheep were probably sprayed with chemicals for lice. That is not natural. A good number of people are allergic to lanolin as well.
Some companies use grapeseed oil in their massage and skin care products. Grapeseed is chemically extracted, and very shelf unstable. Grapeseed oil goes rancid very quickly. Can you imagine putting that on your skin?

Healing With Essential Oils

Essential oils are the volatile oil from a plant. Lavender essential oil is made from the flower. It takes 450 pounds of Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia) to make one pound of Lavender essential oil. Some essential oils are made from the resin of the plants such as Myrrh.
Essential oils have been used for thousands of years to heal, in religious ceremonies, and in beauty products such as perfumes.
Essential oils are also the back bone of aromatherapy. Aromatherapy can help calm unsteadied nerves, or energize a sleepy mind.
Essential oils are what give the plant their unique taste such as thyme. Thyme contains thymol. When we taste or smell thyme, this is the main essential oil coming through.

Arnica (Arnica montana) promotes healing of tired achy muscles. It is an anti-inflammatory that helps relieve stiffness in the body.
It is also good for bruises and sprains.
Arnica (Arnica montana) is also known as leopard's bane, wolf's bane, mountain tobacco and mountain arnica. It is originally from Europe, and has large yellow flowers on a single stem.
The aerial parts of the Arnica plant are steeped in oil, and then it is turned into an ointment by adding waxes or butters.

Our Message

Herbal medicine, and aromatherapy has been used for thousands of years by cultures all over the world to cure everything from abrasions to whooping cough, arthritis to headaches and all in between. Herbs are used for health as well as beauty. By using herbs, and essential oils in our lives we provide our family with the protection they deserve without the side effects of western medicine.

I studied herbs, herbal medicine and aromatherapy since 1994. I became a certified medical herbalist in 2002.

After creating herbal remedies for friends and family for years, I decided to make available to others the wonders of herbal healing.

I began to sell my favorite mixtures of soothing aromatherapy products, and herbal remedies online in 2000. Two years later I realized my dream of having my own herb and wellness shop.

Last year we realized our dream of buying a small farm to grow and sell our own produce and herbs. Better yet, there was an old cape attached to the house that we remade into an herb shop and farm stand.

I love teaching people about herbs and alternative health choices. I love creating a product line people know is safe for them and their families.

Herbs and aromatherapy can improve the quality of your life naturally.
